Arrival in Loreto (anytime). Take your car at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Settle in and discover the wonderful town and mission of Loreto, the old capital of the Californias (recommendations provided).

Hop on a boat and head to Coronado, one of Loreto Bay beautiful uninhabited islands. Sit back and enjoy the ride searching for dolphins, pilot and blue whales. Once in the clear waters of the island, put on your mask and snorkel, and go for a close encounter with the playful local colony of sea lions. After mooring on a white sandy beach, get ready for a hike and start walking up the extinct volcano for some stunning views of the bay (be ready to spot whales too!). After the hike, spend the afternoon chilling at the beach and snorkeling in its turquoise waters. Head back to Loreto before the sunset. Free evening in town (recommendations provided).

Make your way north to San Ignacio. The scenery along the road is amazing. Kilometers of white sandy beaches and deep blue ocean adorn this part of the coast of the Gulf of California. Most of  the beaches are empty or with seasonal travelers, so stop wherever you feel like having a swim and check out as many beaches as you want (recommendations provided). Reach your hotel in San Ignacio before sunset. Settle in and discover this charming little missionary town inside El Vizcaino Biosphere Reserve, in the middle of Baja California (recommendations provided).

Morning drive to the Gray Whale Sactuary crossing almost-lunar landscapes. Upon reaching the remote San Ignacio lagoon, you will meet your guide who will provide the necessary information and equipment for your incredible whale watching experience. Hop on your boat and witness one of nature’s most emotive and impressive spectacles, the gray whales and their calves in their natural habitat from a very short distance. After enjoying the encounter with the whales for a few hours and with a big smile on your face, drive back to San Ignacio before sunset to spend the rest of the afternoon strolling around the town (recommendations provided).

Make your way south to the city of La Paz. It is a bit of a drive but there are several beautiful stops along the way that make the journey very enjoyable. Check out the mining town of Santa Rosalía and its unique French-style church, the timeless town of Mulegé with its oasis, and the impressive Sierra de La Giganta and its capricious mountains. Reach La Paz before the sun is down to catch one of Mexico’s most beautiful sunsets. Arrive to your hotel, settle in and spend the rest of the afternoon and evening discovering this beautiful city of relaxed vibes and great food (recommendations provided).

Start the day with an amazing whale shark snorkeling trip. Feel the thrill and emotion of swimming alongside the biggest and one of the coolest fish in the ocean. Back on land, go check out one of Mexico’s most beautiful beaches, Playa Balandra. This stunning beach of endless crystal-clear shallow water is a paradisiac scene. Walk along the beach and discover its natural beauty from your very own spot. SUP, kayaking and snorkeling are great activities to enjoy the beach. After you’re done with Balandra, make your way to Cerritos beach, a sensational stretch of golden sand and perfect waves on the Pacific Ocean. Settle in your hotel and spend the evening enjoying a drink and dinner by the beach.

Wake up to the sound of the waves and enjoy the quietness of the beach in the morning. A short drive away is Todos Santos, a charming little town and one of Baja’s favorite spots. Take your time discovering this cool place by strolling around its small streets, checking out the cool boutiques and eating in one of its delicious restaurants (recommendations provided). Take a look at the legendary Hotel California, immortalized by The Eagle’s song. Once you finish in town, go back to Cerritos to chill out with a margarita and enjoy one of its famous sunsets at the beach, where sometimes whales can be seen breaching not far from the shore.

Spend some time at the beach in the morning depending on time of departure. Check out from hotel and drive to Los Cabos International Airport for departure. Possibility of connecting/combining with other Mexico destinations.
